Rebecca's charitable awareness began in 1994 when as an employee of Tracor, Inc. (later BAE Systems) she became involved in Christmas in April, and then as a Tracor team captain for the American Heart Association walk at the Veteran’s Home in Charlotte Hall, MD.

In 1999, Rebecca participated in the first Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.  Since then, she has walked in 6 Avon walks and has fundraised over $15,000.00.  Rebecca became a trainer for Southern Maryland participants to help them train for the 60 mile walks.

Rebecca is an annual participant in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, going on 7 years as a BAE Systems team captain.  The event is held annually in June and she has always raised over $1,000.00 per year which gives her the distinct honor of being in the ACS Grand Club.  The total team amount for the past 7 years has been well over $25,000.00.

Rebecca is committed to the mission, vision and values of the The Drop Foundation.  She also engages in yearly ethics training and maintains the highest standards of ethical behavior.
